This projects aims to make a contribution to heritage conservation and development in Afghanistan through a multi-faceted approach to existing problems and gaps in the heritage sector: the desperte need to continue physical conservation efforts in Afghanistan's most important sites; a lack of awarness and understanding, within the country, of the importance of heritage preservation and its potential economic contribution to development; the need to enhance coordination efforts for multiple actors in the heritage sector.
