The Programme aims to create a pilot touristic route between the Departments of Cochambamba and Potosí in Bolivia. The main objective is developing interventions at local level that associate development to conservation, creating replicable models at national level. The identified areas are: a) The towns of Tarata, Collpa Ciaco-Arani, Ucureña-Cliza, Anzaldo e Totora in Cochabamba Department. Historical buildings will be restored to use them for cultural and commercial activities related to local traditions, improving the possibilities of increasing the flow of visitors and offering more adequate touristic services. b) Town and National Park of Torotoro in Potosí Department. Through an integral approach, directed to assure basic touristic services and to the development of the local communities, the interventions will act on different levels (patrimonial, natural and educational) in order to guarantee an adequate use of the touristic potential of the Park and the sustainability of the Program’s results. The intervention is in line with the Bolivian cultural strategies and the DGCS guidelines. read more close
