The project arises from the strong interest of the Quirimbas National Park to strengthen its own role as a promoter of local development, capable to reconcile the need to protect the environment and the need to achieve economic development. To this end, the Park identified Istituto Oikos, with whom it had already established a partnership through previous activities, as the ideal partner to improve its own capability to interact and support the local communities in order to start virtuous activities. The Park’s main goal is to promote local economic potentialities within the protected area in the touristic sector as a way to benefit the local communities. read more close
