Beneficiaries

The project beneficiaries are: 1) Fishery institutions in Tunisia o 6 public administration officers are trained in Italy in order to allow them to acquire professional skills useful to the policy planning the the fichery sector. o 6 public administration technicians are trained in order to allow them to acquir marketing and market policy skills. 2) Private sector: o 50 private sector operator take part in the short courses organized and offered by the multi-purpose center in Zarzis. o At least 15 projects are funded and monitored thanks to the microcredit fund. o A new El Biben lagoon management plan is adopted in favor of 230 fishermen. o A Brand of Origin is created to support fishery production. This result will favor 230 fishermen in the lagoon and 10 groups of women. o At least 50 entreprises have received the good practices book concerning the management of the coast; o At least 20 entreprises have received 2 good practices book about the lagoon mangement and quality production. Indirect beneficiaries: Institutions and operators connected to the fishery chain.
