THE PROJECT AIMS TO PROMOTE THE DISABLED PEOPLE RIGHTS, FOSTERING THEIR INTEGRATION INTO THE WORLD OF WORK, EDUCATION AND CULTURAL AND SOCIAL LIFE Specifically the mainly aims of the project are: Spread in a new geographical area the program MOVE (Mobility Opportunity Via Education - MOVE for learning and life) introduced on an experimental basis during the previous project. This Curriculum, applied in the rest of the world for more than thirty years, was designed to develop the possibilities of 'individual autonomy' and the ability to move and learn using minimum technology resources and maximum participation of family members, social workers and teachers of children with severe and multiple disabilities; Define with parents the objectives of individual autonomy to achieve: the ability to remain seated, standing and, if possible, try to walk. All goals are pursued through the daily practice of simple physical therapy exercises to be performed at home with the help of family members, social workers and the initial support of a physiotherapist; Propose a multidisciplinary approach aimed at improving and constant monitoring of the general conditions of the severely disabled, increase their autonomy, and save the time and energy needed for daily care and social integration. read more close
