Description

The Programme’s main goal is to enhance the quality of life of the families and communities living by the Ecuador-Perù border –Loja-Piura corridor– within the framework of a bi-national public healthcare network. The programme aims at improving the efficiency, the effectiveness as well as the equity of the existing bi-national healthcare system (MAIS-B), designed during the first phase. The second phase of the programme aims to consolidate the implementation of the MAIS-B and to promote transferability, reliability and replicability of the model. The Programme develops along three separated but interdependent sets of coordinated actions: • Consolidating the MAIS-B and promoting the transfer of best practices • Addressing both infrastructure and equipment issues of the bi-national healthcare network • Consolidating a participatory approach and developing participatory tools in the management of healthcare services read more close
